A map is composed of map layers. There are two types of map layers: prebuilt and custom layers.
Prebuilt layers are map layers that do not require any customization on the part of a user and can be
added to a map with a single-click from the "Available Layers" window. Prebuilt layers include cities, states, major ports, bathymetry,
current rig locations, manned platforms, and many others.
Custom layers can be completely customized by the user. For example, a user may want a map layer that displays
Chevron leases in red. By clicking the "Create Custom Layer" tab above the map, the user will be taken to the
"Available Datasets" page. The user can then click the "MMS Leases" option. The following page will allow the
user to specify Chevron as the lease holder and then view the custom layer on their map. Click the play button
